Trail Cam – B Reel March 2018
This is a mix of shots from the trail cam taken over the last few nights, most are not the best in terms of quality (subject placement, exposure levels etc).
It’s hard getting the placement (and settings) of the trail cam right. So far, luck has played a major part.
The camera has a view angle of 120 degrees which is quite wide, but the screen to see what the cam is pointing at is inside a waterproof door. This makes it pretty much guesswork when aiming with the camera attached to a tree.
At night, the IR flash has 3 different settings of intensity, the brightest – which I generally use – does tend to over expose anything in near-field.
I tried angling the camera up a bit, to get the most out of the bright flash; the camera needs to be elevated to see the distance the flash can project, which means we lose sight of things too early as they get under the view of the lens.
Anyways, I’m still really pleased with the results and I’m sure practice will help.
In the meantime enjoy 🙂
