Field access achieved
After a fully day of rain yesterday, I was finally able to attach the near post and foot-board.
I’ve offset them slightly to account for the slope, different widths, and to ensure the near post gives as much support as possible to the field side.
I was to be the test subject so I made my way over – carefully – and all was good.
Happily, Dawn can also manage to get herself over on her own, so mission accomplished.
We went for a wee explore and checked the outside perimeter of the garden; surprising amount of random rubbish in the field, but easily cleared now!
I think when the weather is a bit better I will give the whole thing a treatment, and maybe add a handle to make it even easier for Dawn.
I’ve chucked a broken paving slab on the mud at the bottom – it’s sitting quite nicely; hopefully it will make things a little less messy when it’s this wet (which is a lot).
