I’m Dave Ashe, currently hailing from Ayrshire in Scotland.
Thanks for visiting my website and taking time to read this.
I live with my fiancée (Dawn) and house mascot Star the cat.
The DaveAshe.net domain was bought for a project back in 2007, and it had been unused ever since.
This site and content is mostly for friends and family but it is open to the public, so feel free to share any content on social media.
In the past I’ve been a Games Tester, DJ, Club Owner, Web Designer, Project Manager, and Drone Pilot amongst other stuff.
I was involved an a motorbike accident back in 2012 – most unfortunately, while Dawn was a pillion passenger.
Someone ran into the back of us, while we were stationary at a roundabout.
I was pretty much physically unhurt – some strains, but nothing more than a sports injury.
Dawn was not so lucky, and suffered a significant mobility loss.
At the time, we had no idea of the impact it would have.
It’s been tough to adjust, but we’re getting there.
Dawn’s still constantly working on her mobility and pain with health professionals and determination.
I first decided to make use of the domain to put all my random digital bits in one place.

I’ve bought a bunch of domains over the years and I decided to start here, with DaveAshe.net – a basic but real space for me to blog in, hosted on my own server space.
I’m beginning to gather content from previous posts on other platforms, as well as post here first for new stuff.
I’ve optimised the site so it should be blazing fast everywhere (when things are all working!)
From a small acorn, grows the mighty oak.
And here we are 🙂
Some days the site will work, other days – not so much.
I’m using it as a live test-bed for WordPress and my hosting – so if things aren’t working, please come back later…
I will update everything eventually, for now I’m just playing around and having fun tinkering and practicing making content.
